Abstract: Ceramic particle reinforced metal matrix composites integrate many excellent properties of metals and ceramic materials, while not compromising the good plasticity and toughness of metal materials, they also possess the high hardness, high strength, good wear resistance and corrosion resistance of ceramic materials.The preparation methods of ceramic particle reinforced metal matrix composites, the difficulties in preparing ceramic particle reinforced metal matrix composites and the current application status were summarized, and the prospects for the application of ceramic particle reinforced metal matrix composites was put forward.
