Abstract:
The selective laser sintering of 304L stainless steel powder was carried out to observe the interaction between laser and 304L stainless steel powder, which was taken as the selection basis of the single-layer sintering parameters.Meanwhile, the porosity of spcimens was tested to find the best single-layer sintering parameters, and then the multi-layer stacking sintering test was carried out. The optimal stacking sintering parameters were determined by analyzing the microstructure and the bonding degree between layers. Finally, the sintered specimens were tested by metallography observation, hardness and tensile tests. The results show that there are complete powder particles in the microstructure of the sintered specimen, and part of the unmelted powder is coated with melted powder; the sintered specimens with different scanning paths have higher hardness than the raw material, but the tensile strength is far lower than that of the raw material;the S-path scanning specimens have higher tensile strength than the spiral path scanning specimens.
