Abstract:
ZK60 magnesium alloy sheet was prepared by 4-pass cooling rolling. The effect of cooling rolling on the microstructure and mechanical properties of ZK60 magnesium alloy was studied. The research shows that the average grain size of 4-pass cooling rolling is about 2.56 μm. There are a large number of twins on the grain boundary, and the twin boundary provides a large number of nucleation sites for dynamic recrystallization. These twin structures produce work hardening phenomenon at the same time. The bimodal texture of the(0002) base surface is "closed" to the normal direction of the rolling surface. Cooling rolling can effectively improve the mechanical properties of ZK60 magnesium alloy. After 4-pass cooling rolling, the tensile strength hardness and elongation of the alloy reach 330.6 MPa, 71.93HV and 16%, respectively.
