Abstract:
The modification of ZL101 aluminum alloy with Ce-La composite rare earth(65%Ce and 35%La) and its heat treatment process were studied by means of microstructure observation and tensile test. The results show that the modification of ZL101 aluminum alloy with the addition of 0.05% composite RE can effectively reduce the secondary dendrite spacing of α-Al and refine the eutectic Si structure.Compared with those of the unmodified ZL101 aluminum alloy, the tensile strength, yield strength and elongation of the modified ZL101 aluminum alloy are increased by 6.5%, 4.5% and 47.1% respectively. After solution treatment at 540℃×4 h and aging treatment at 170℃×8 h, the eutectic Si phase of ZL101 aluminum alloy is granular and uniformly distributed at grain boundaries. The tensile strength, yield strength and elongation reach 306 MPa, 231 MPa and 6.3% respectively. The comprehensive mechanical property match of ZL101 aluminum alloy is the best.
