Abstract:
In order to investigate the influence of sintering temperature on the microstructure and mechanical properties of cemented carbide, the WC-Co cemented carbide was prepared by vacuum sintering method, and the mechanical properties and microstructure of sintered cemented carbide samples were characterized by universal testing machine, X-ray diffractometer(XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEM), respectively. The results show that with the increase of sintering temperature, the relative density, hardness and bending strength of the samples increase at first and then decrease. When the temperature reaches 1450 ℃and holding for 1 h, the WC-Co sample has the best ratio of grain size and density, which has excellent comprehensive mechanical properties, such as, density of 16.98 g/cm
3, hardness of 2150 HV and bending strength of 2860 MPa.
