Abstract:
In order to explore the influence of the microstructure and performance of laser coated Ni-based composite coating, Ni60/WC composite coating was prepared on 316L stainless steel surface by laser cladding technique. The morphology and phase structure of the coating were studied by optical microscope and X-ray diffraction. The hardness distribution and corrosion resistance of the coating were characterized by microhardness tester and electrochemical workstation. The results show that the coating is well bonded with the substrate, and the dilution rate is 28.6%. Metal compounds such as Cr

xare formed in the coating. The hardness of the coating is 3.5 times than that of 316L stainless steel, and the corrosion resistance of the coating is also significantly improved. The formation of carbide reinforcing phase is the main reason for the improvement of the hardness and corrosion resistance of the coating. The results can guide the preparation of Ni60 with WC.
