Abstract:
Nitronic 50 high nitrogen stainless steel has no mexcellent strength, toughness and corrosion resistance, and its high and low temperature mechanical properties are excellent and it has no magnetic property, which has a wide application in the aerospace, chemical industry, nuclear industry, marine industry and other fields. However, the deformation resistance of Nitronic 50 during high temperature forging is large, and the tensile strength and hardness of the forgings are both equal or even less than the standard value, which brings great risk of exceeding the tolerance to the subsequent mass production of forgings and cannot meet the needs of mass production. Therefore, taking a Nitronic 50 ring forging as the research object, the forging process research was carried out by means of forging process experiment at different temperatures, different post forging heat treatment experiment, physical and chemical experiment (metallographic test, mechanical property test and hardness test). Finally, the high-quality forgings with yield strength, tensile strength and hardness significantly higher than the standard requirements are obtained, and the optimal forging process parameters and heat treatment process parameters are determined.
