Abstract:
Copper-based powder metallurgy materials suitable for wind power brake were prepared by powder metallurgy technology, and the influence of different quartz sand content on the properties of copper-based powder metallurgy materials was studied. The physical properties, friction and wear properties of the sintered samples were characterized. The results show that the density, hardness and compressive strength of the samples first increase and then decrease with the increase of quartz sand content. When the quartz sand content is 7%, the performance is optimal, with a density of 5.782 g/cm
3, hardness of 9.8 HRF and compressive strength of 161 MPa. Each sample is tested for 40 times on Mm
3000 friction and wear testing machine, and when the quartz sand content is 7%, the comprehensive performance of the average friction coefficient and wear quantity is superior.
