Research Progress on Effect of Element Doping on Mechanical Properties of High Entropy Alloy

    • High-entropy alloys show excellent mechanical properties, high-temperature oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature mechanical properties, which become one of the most promising new materials in recent years. At present, the development of high-entropy alloys has made significant progress. However, due to its large number of constituent elements and diversified element ratios, a series of urgent problems have been exposed during the development process, such as the insufficient cognition of microstructure and performance of high-entropy alloys. The effect of element doping on the properties of high-entropy alloys is not comprehensive, and the mechanism of the effect is not clear. These problems have seriously affected the industrialization speed of high-entropy alloys. Therefore, it is very important to analyze and summarize the influence of element doping on the alloys in the research process of high-entropy alloys at domestic and foreign. The effects of element doping on the microstructure and properties of high-entropy alloys were analyzed. The role of alloying elements in the high-entropy alloy system was discussed. The shortcomings in the development of high-entropy alloys were put forward, and the direction of subsequent development of high-entropy alloy was pointed out and the prospects for the development of high-entropy alloy were prospected in order to provide a theoretical basis for the research and development of new-type high-entropy alloy.
