Research Status of Alternating Corrosion and Fatigue of Aviation Aluminum Alloys

    • The aircraft is mainly subject to corrosion damage when it is parked on the ground and fatigue damage when it is working in the air. The repeated parking and takeoff process of the aircraft is closer to the alternating state of ground corrosion and air fatigue. Therefore, the research status of corrosion and fatigue alternation of aviation aluminum alloys in recent years was reviewed and summarized. First, the initiation mechanism of alternating corrosion and fatigue cracks was introduced. Then, according to the research progress of alternating corrosion and fatigue of aluminum alloys, the classification and acceleration methods of alternating corrosion and fatigue experiments were introduced. At the same time, the impact of alternating corrosion and fatigue on life and the life prediction model were summarized, and the future development trend was prospected.
