Application Research of Composite Materials in Aerospace and Rail Transit in China

The progress of the application of composite materials in Chinese aerospace and rail transit was discussed. The main composites, including carbon fiber, glass fiber and aramid fiber and the emerging aluminum-based, C/C composites,were analyzed. The application of these composite materials in Shenzhou series spacecraft, C919 large aircraft and Fuxing EMU was summarized. Furthermore, the main challenges and opportunities of composite materials in the subsequent application were summarized to give some references to future researchers.
