Abstract
Beryllium bronze is a copper alloy material with high strength, high hardness, high elastic limit, and good wear resistance and corrosion resistance. It is widely used in fields such as elastic components, wear-resistant parts, and explosion-proof tools. QBe2 is the most commonly used beryllium bronze in the manufacturing industry. During its processing and manufacturing, due to compositional segregation and improper heat treatment, the internal structure of QBe2 may exhibit a hard and brittle β phase, resulting in a decrease of material properties. From the characteristics and microstructure of the β phase in QBe2, its formation mechanism and its influence on the mechanical properties of alloys were introduced, and suggestions for controlling the content and distribution of β phase were put forward, which was expected to improve the comprehensive performance of beryllium bronze
